The docs imply setting this to true increases performance. What kind of gains can I expect and under what circumstances are the gains the largest?

For example from a quick look, I had about 200 or so instances of the same fbx in my scene and I set them all to isStatic = true. This seemed to increase render time and forward time and material switches significantly so it was not an improvement.

Is this intended for larger, unique meshes?
